WELCOME TO THE CLAIRES COURT ACTIVITIES HUB

20th November 2017:
Activities schedules for the Spring Term 2018 are now being devised. Schedules should be available for you to view from Friday 1st December. It is our aim to open online registration from Monday 4th December.

POPULAR ACTIVITIES / WAITING LISTS
For a small number of our activities pupils work towards grades or levels.  Where spaces in these groups are limited, these activities, we will be operating a waiting list system. Everyone who wishes to join the activity will need to click on "Join Waiting List".  We will then give priority to pupils who have already started a grade/level which will enable them to continue working towards their goal. After that, we will assign spaces in order of application.

Activities will begin on Monday 8th of January 2018.

AUTUMN - WATCH OUT, SOME ACTIVITIES DON'T LAST ALL TERM
As the dark evenings draw in, some activities will cease mid term. This is normally the case for outdoor activities that cannot be run inside during the winter, eg Sailing and Junior Rugby. At this point, pupils may either opt for another activity (depending on availability), study, or to go home.

ACTIVITIES WITH LIMITED NUMBERS
Some activities are restricted to set numbers of pupils and so please remember this when signing up. If the numbers for an activity are exceeded, you can still sign up for it, but you will be placed on a waiting list. There is always the chance that someone will pull out of an activity and free up a space.  For some limited number activities, the school may make the decision to offer spaces to pupils who have not yet had an opportunity to participate.

ONGOING ACCESS TO INFORMATION
The portal will allow you to check, at any time in the term, the activities for which you are registered, just in case you forget where you (or your child) should be.

THE BENEFITS OF EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

So what's in it for you?

You get to explore your physical, creative, social and career interests with like-minded others.  You'll find new friends: trying something different may bring you in contact with pupils you didn't know who share your interests and curiosity. Participating in co-curriculat activities helps you in other ways too: it looks good on your personal statement, university/job applications and shows admissions officers and employers you're well rounded and responsible. Our Lent term programme offers new and exciting opportunities. The most basic reason for joining an activity is to have fun, make friends and get to know teachers and senior pupils better.

Finding the right activity for you

Review the activities we offer, listen to other students' experiences to find an activity that meets your needs. Think about your interests, abilities and time available. Are you looking to meet friends or get support? Don't limit yourself to the familiar, try something new!

CHARGEABLE ACTIVITIES

Although most come at no extra cost, some of our activities incur an additional fee. The amount payable will be detailed along with further information in the activities list on this site. In the In most cases, this fee is added to the end of term bill, but some will require a payment to be made on the Pay Portal. Further information will be sent to all participants once registration for the term is complete.
